Dorian Louis was born in Manhattan, N.Y. Her father is a retired professor of English Literature who taught at NYU and her mother, a retired opera singer who composes classical songs. She studied classical piano (giving her first recital at age 5) and violin at an early age and landed her first role in a TV commercial at age 12, playing violin in a Vick's Sinex commercial. She was cast in many other television commercials, a PBS special and many voice-over projects. At 15, Nicolise spent 3 months in call-backs and was subsequently one of seven teenagers cast in a Steven Spielberg film - working title, 'After School'. Two weeks later, the project was canceled. After small roles in films like 'Wall Street' and 'Cookie', she went on to pursue a career in music, fronting numerous bands in New York City. One in particular, 'Passion Kills', recorded a self titled album in 1994 for Azimuth Jag records in London, UK. Dorian also plays guitar, bass guitar and recently took up the cello. She is also a self-taught chef and and has been hired to cook for elaborate parties and upscale dinners. She moved to Santa Fe, NM and then to Los Angeles, where she studied with renowned acting coaches, Richard Brander and Basil Hoffman, who both highly praised her abilities. As a screenwriter, writer of fiction and poetry, Dorian' has over 20 feature films to her credit as well as a TV pilot and first season episodes She taught screen-writing in Santa Fe, NM, acting in New Orleans, has completed a book of poetry as well as a book of novellas and is working on her first novel. She has been hired to write and/or work on several other screenplay projects for various companies and individuals. Ms. Louis has lived all over the US and in London's Earls Court.
