Paul started as an actor at an early age, appearing as lead talent in both public and high school productions. He attended Lord Elgin High School in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, where he was taught art by renowned Canadian wildlife artist Robert Bateman. The two actually performed together in the high school's production of Gilbert & Sullivan's Patience. The high school was later renamed in honour of Mr. Bateman. In his later years, Paul returned to acting, this time in film and on television. To date he has portrayed a wide variety of characters from CEO to street denizen, and "Guy-Next-Door" to murderer. He says he provides character on cue. For over ten years, Paul has appeared on Rogers Television (York Region) co-hosting the Georgina Cares Telethon, a fund-raising event for a local charity. He is a Past President and continues to serve on the board of Georgina Cares. Paul has trained under Steven Holmberg, Tom Todoroff, Debora Joy, Gloria and Steven Mann, Crystal Kramer, Peter Hughes, Jane Coryell, and Mel Evans. He continues to hone his speaking skills through Toastmasters International, and will earn his Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) distinction within the next year. His long career as a leader has taught him to be collegial while on set, and his creative sensibilities and gift for improvisation contribute excellent ideas to every production. He practices the 4 P's of Paul: Preparation, Punctuality, Professionalism and a Positive Attitude. Paul makes his home in Georgina, Ontario, Canada with his wife Jenny. He has four children ranging in age from 26 to 11. Outside of his daytime and acting careers, has been a municipal politician and continues to contribute to his community, leading a number of organizations.
