Men 'The Master" Nguyen was born in Vietnam. At the age of 13, he dropped out of school to support his family by driving a bus. Then, in 1978, (five years after the South Vietnamese government collapsed) he fled the communist regime and sought asylum in the United States. Men initially found work as a machinist, but fate changed his life when in 1985 he discovered poker in Las Vegas. Two years later, Men would win his first poker tournament. Today, Men is considered one of professional poker's most feared and ferocious players. Men is the only poker player with the unique distinction of winning four Card Player Magazine's, "Player of the Year Award." (1997, 2001, 2003 and 2005.) In addition, Men has won six World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, including 58 first place finishes.
