Eric du Bellay started as an assistant director. He shot his first short, Blanche (17') in 2008, with Clémence Poésy and Romane Bohringer ; Royal Hotel (15') in 2011, with Yann Gael and Pauline Alcaide ; Blind Seam (8') in 2016 during his stay in Gullkistan - Center for créative people in Iceland ; The wait (24') in 2017, with Adèle Simphal, Paul Granier ; and Ophelia (13') in 2018, his first experimental short with Audrey Bontour and Constance Gueugnier. He is developing two feature films, The Cousins, which received the Aide au développement du CNC and The Medusa raft, which received the Aide à l'écriture de la région Ile de France.
