After spending his childhood in Palermo, Francesco Mistichelli started his career in his city of birth Pescara. Once he finished high school, he enrolled into the drama school of Enzo Garinei in Pescara, who calls him 'the little James Dean'. His first experiences as an actor were some leading roles in a few theatrical plays directed by Pino Cormani and in several short films, including 'Sara gelida l'estate?' from 2003, directed by Sergio Sciarra, that showed at the filmfestivals of Bellaria and Montecatini. The short movie 'Chi beve e chi muore' released in 2004 was a finalist at the Sulmonacinema Film Festival and won the Prize Massimo Troisi. In 2006 he played an important character in the drama of Raiuno 'La buona battaglia - Don Pietro Pappagallo' alongside Flavio Insinna and played the son of Ottavia Piccolo in the drama of Canale 5 'Questa e la mia terra'. In 2008 he won the leading role Marcello Romei in the movie 'Marcello Marcello', directed by Denis Rabaglia. For this part he won the U.S. Discovery Award at the second edition of the San Joaquin International Film Festival. In 2009 he participated in 'Scusa ma ti voglio sposare di Federico Moccia'. Raiuno showed in January and February 2011 the TV series 'Caccia al Re - La narcotici', in which he interpreted one of the leading roles, Giacomo, also called Tsunami. Still on Raiuno, Francesco Mistichelli appeared as Luca, the title role, in the drama 'Notte prima degli esami - '82' in may 2011. In theater he's engaged in replicas of Jonathan Livingston, directed by Pino Cormani.
