Raised in the reunion Island (Indian Ocean), Laure Lochet graduated from la Sorbonne in 2011 in human sciences. She co-wrote her first short in high school for a national script contest against racism in 2006 and won a national award. She studied performing arts and classical theatre with Jean Laurent Cochet parallel to her writing. In 2016 indie French filmmaker Cheyenne Carron gave her the lead role of Lucie in La chute des Hommes, a polemical feature about French jihad.
