Jon Goodman is a two-time Emmy Award-winner who, over the course of his television and film career, has written, produced, directed or supervised hundreds of hours of programming for broadcast in the United States and abroad. Raised in Harlem, Mr. Goodman comes from a family steeped in journalism and the arts. His father started New York radio station WLIB's news and public affairs department, and was a member of the editorial board of The Hartford Times. His mother, Amelia Myers Goodman, was a classically trained pianist and educator who performed off Broadway in New York and at the First World Festival of Black Arts held in Dakar, Senegal in 1966. In addition to writing, producing and directing, Mr. Goodman is the author of the historical essays featured in The Kennedy Mystique: Creating Camelot (2005, National Geographic Books). From 2006-2010, he was adjunct professor of the arts in the Graduate Film program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he taught Documentary Directing to third-year MFA candidates. A graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Law, Mr. Goodman began his career in film and television as an entertainment attorney in New York City.
