George Tounas was born on 16 February 1978 in Germany and is of Greek descent. He is an award winning international actor and filmmaker. As an actor he played many leading and supporting roles in numerous film, TV and advertising productions since the early 2000s. George actually graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Mannheim in communication design in 2004, which is equivalent to Master of Fine Arts, and is also an award winning creative and art director, designer and front-end developer. In 2019 George also founded a movie and TV studio named George Tounas Films and started to write screenplays, produce and direct films. He also plays leading roles in these films. They are distributed worldwide also by Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV. Actually this isn't the first time George is producing and directing films. He made some short films as a teenager, releasing a compilation DVD in 2004. George is multi-lingual and speaks English, German and Greek fluently, and also some French. In 2010/11 he fulfilled his military service as a soldier in the Greek Army. George has German and Greek citizenship, both countries of the European Union. He is also a model, started on fashion runways and is still booked occasionally in various productions. George is very athletic and keeps in shape. As a former long jumper he participated several times at various championships. George started competitive sport very late at the age of 21 and two years later he had jumps near 8 meters in training. He never doped. Due to injuries he had to quit a few years later. Unfortunately his longest jumps in competitions, which were around 8 meters, were all (slightly) overstepped and therefore invalid. The clubs he was in were Panellinios Athens, MTV Stuttgart and MTG Mannheim. George also studied at the TEI of Athens and attended the New York Film Academy in New York City where he completed a 4-week full-time actor training program with a diploma in 2005. In 2009 he completed a two months full-time professional actor training program with a certificate at the TVI Actors Studio in New York City, when he lived for four months in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. On a short trip to Los Angeles in 2010 George had a one-day intensive master class at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Hollywood. George is married since 2012 and has two children. End of 2018 the CEO and main producer of Dream Team Pictures Vjekoslav Katusin invited George to dinner and gave him a role in his feature film C.L.E.A.N. 2 beside Hollywood star Michael Paré, but in the end it didn't happen because they didn't agree. In 2019 British social media star Amber Doig-Thorne was interested to play in one of George's films and he gave her a leading role in his short film City Rush (2020). She has got over 3 Million followers in total and has interviewed many super stars in her channels like Emily Blunt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Scarlett Johansson, Henry Cavill, etc. George was in talks with Hollywood star and Oscar nominee Eric Roberts for the gangster boss role of his feature film Reloaded (2021) end of 2020, in which George also plays a leading role. Eric Roberts and his wife and manager Eliza Roberts agreed and said "Eric would love to", but unfortunately due to final budget complications it didn't happen. End of 2020 George was offered and cast for the leading role "The Master" in animated feature film The Master and Margarita (2022). The CEO, executive producer and director of MediaInVision Films Alexander Golberg Jero commented: "George is a very talented upcoming actor with many recent movie credits under his belt, we are glad to have him in our film. However other perspectives for this role included many celebrity actors, after listening his audition I gave this role to George Tounas with no doubt." Beginning of 2021 George was offered the supporting role "Hop" in US road movie remake Two Lane Blacktop, directed by the F9 (2021) director Justin Lin and produced among others by multiple Oscar nominated top producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, starring John Schneider and world famous rapper Pitbull.
