Dmitriy Rudovskiy is a well-known Russian film and TV producer, co-founder of Art Pictures Group company, director and journalist. Born on December 4, 1962 in Moscow. In 1986 Dmitriy graduated from MSLU and afterwards from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and directors (A.Thorstensen and O. Korvyakov). In the following years Dmitriy held different positions in media and TV production - he worked as editor of the Main Department of Foreign Affairs (GUVS) USSR Radio and Television; director of the program "Club kinoputeshestvennikov" (Cinematravelers club); director of RGTRK "Ostankino" Studio of popular scientific and educational programs and others. In 2006 Dmitriy together with his partner Fedor Bondarchuk became the co-founders of the recently reorganized Art Pictures Group company. In 2009 within Art Pictures Group Dmitry Rudovsky founded distribution company Art Pictures Media, which deals with theatrical, television and DVD-distribution of Art Pictures Group films. So far Art Pictures Group has released numerous successful projects and today the main area of the company practice is film and TV-series production as well as distribution. Rudovskiy's projects received plenty of awards. For instance, animated film Christmas tree in 2006 was awarded with the Grand Prix of National Festival of Visual Arts "for the development of Russia's new animated children's hero image", as well as the prize for "The best characters in children's animated films" at the International festival of children's animated films. Produced by Art Pictures Group in 2008 dilogy Inhabited island became the most discussed premieres of 2009. Movie earned $30 million and took the third place of the total box office of CIS area in 2009. Horror film Phobos. Club of fear was named the best domestic film in horror genre in 2010. Among the most recent films produced by Dmitry Rudovskiy are the XIX Film Festival "Window to Europe" in Vyborg Audience Choice Award winner film 2 days by Dunya Smirnova; one of the most successful films of 2012 psycological drama Dukhless by Roman Prygunov and the absolute leader of Russian box office in 2013 war drama Stalingrad directed by Fedor Bondarchuk. Rudovskiy's future projects in 2014-2015 foresee production of the cartoons Baba Yaga and Savva and release of the following films: Queen of Spades by Pavel Lungin; Yes & Yes by Valeria G. Germanica; Death's Battalion by Dmitriy Meskhiev and Dukhless sequel - Downshifter by Roman Prygunov.
