Caitlin Sanchez is an American actress. She was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey just across the river from New York City. She is a third-generation Cuban-American. She was home-schooled her whole life, which she says helps her relate to socially-awkward characters. Caitlin was nominated for two NAACP Image Awards for "Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children's Program" and two Imagen Awards for "Best Television Actress" for her portrayal of the sweetheart preschool icon "Dora the Explorer". Caitlin also played the comically-depressive Monica in "Phoebe in Wonderland." She has also made guest star appearances on the TV shows "Law & Order: SVU" playing Catholic school-girl Lupe Rojas, and "Lipstick Jungle" playing uptight bookworm Celia Vega. Recently Caitlin was cast as the lead in the romance film "Finding Laney". Caitlin is a professional vocalist and jazz pianist, two-time winner of the Tito Puente Scholarship Award as well as the Yamaha Corporation's Young Composer's Award. She's excited that she gets to utilize her skills in the role and also compose for the film.
