Márcio Venturi is an awarded Brazilian filmmaker born in Viçosa, Minas Gerais. Venturi studied Corporate Cable and Communications at the Borough of Manhattan Community College where he graduated with honors (A.A.S.), having received a Bell Atlantic scholarship. Later, he graduated in Brooklyn College's Film program (B.A) being in the Dean's List twice. In Brazil he held several positions as an editor from O Infiltrado (2013) for the History Channel to Big Brother Brazil (2002) for Globo Channel. Two of his most known shorts are Ferocidade Entre a Urbe e a Flora (2010) and Dead Man's Hand (2020) and they were screened in more than 40 different film festivals. His feature film debut was Desabafo (2015), in which two actors play three different couples. The film stars Fernando Alves Pinto and is available for streaming in Brazil. He has directed three seasons of the Emmy nominated Futura Channel documentary series Destino: Educação - Escolas Inovadoras Season 1 (2016). Márcio Venturi achieved great international experience with the show that has been shot in 16 different countries.
