Mark was born in Manhattan, the son of renowned mezzo soprano Jan DeGaetani. He began acting in junior high school and soon thereafter discovered an affinity for the written word. Author of sixteen short stories and ten screenplays, Mark is the creative force behind the production efforts at Rudderpost Films. He has produced/directed several television commercials, a TV pilot, and a documentary, and his debut horror short, The Dollhouse, was screened at more than 15 international film festivals and won several awards. Curently, Three of Mark's other screenplays are currently in development, and he is acting Executive Producer on two upcoming feature films. He is expected to make his feature directorial debut later this year with the cultural drama, Con Alas Pintadas (On painted Wings) to be shot in the Dominican Republic in conjunction with Tesoro Pictures out of New Mexico. Mark shuttles back and forth from the US to the Dominican Republic, where he is raising a growing family with his beautiful wife of seven years, Isabel.
