Justin Murphy is a graduate of Jacksonville University and the founder of the production company Omega Theatre Productions. He began his producing and directing career on the stage with a highly successful production of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Florida Theatre in 1999, where he starred in the title role opposite Delisco, winner of E! Network's reality show The Entertainer. His first passion has always been art and when he was only 17 he wrote, illustrated and published his first comic book series titled Southern Blood. The book received national distribution with Diamond Comics and continued to be published until Justin graduated from college in 1998. His writing partnership with composer Roger Butterley began in 1994 when the two collaborated on concept music for the musical Eagle Song. Six years later they would complete the show and record a full symphonic recording that starred Delisco and Jamie Lynn Sigler. In 2002 Justin wrote a rock opera with Butterley called Fallen Angel and produced and directed the theatrical DVD version two years later. In 2006, Fallen Angel was accepted into the New York International Fringe Festival where it won the award for Most Outstanding Musical. Returning to comics, Murphy wrote and illustrated "Cleburne: A Graphic Novel". After its publication from Rampart Press in December 2008, "Cleburne" went on to win the Book of the Year Award by ForeWord Magazine. In 2010, he published the humor book "Holidaze". While completing his MFA at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, he began work on his thesis "Dawgtown". The animated feature film went into development in 2013. In 2021 Murphy published the comic book mini-series "War Party" with Rampart Press.
