Mama Trish was born in Rockville Center, New York, and grew up on long island. She started playing guitar at age 6, piano at age 12, and started writing her own music and playing professionally at 13. She was forced to go to christian school for 6th and 7th grade in New York, and the family lived in a christian community in north central Florida ("BFE") from the time Trisha was 13 to when she moved out at age 18. This was great for her music, but not so good for her independent, rebellious nature. She went to a tiny high school in rural north Florida. She's put out 3 indie records: "renaissance women and dumptruck girls" "mama trish: big folker" (a collection of folk rock) and "bad habit." She is currently working on a new album with her band, "mama trish vs. godzilla!", the working title of which is, "Big in Japan!"
