Matt grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where he began his work in acting. Matt took on such roles as Oz in "The Wizard of Oz", Joseph in "The Amazing Technicolor Dream coat" and Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet". Matt then branched out into television where he can be seen on shows such as The History Channel's "Wild West Tech". He has also left his mark in doing work on local independent films such as "The Whistler" and "Unraveled". After theater, and television, Matt made his way onto radio where he has done commercial spots for organizations such as United Way. Soon thereafter, Matt began compiling songs for his first album "Difference" for which he wrote one of the ten songs. "'Never Believed In Angels ('Till God Sent Me You)" was written about a best friend. Within the next year, Matt caught the eye of Heath Michael Bottomly, the co-owner of MakeShift Records. The album, titled "Mirrors", for which Matt co-wrote 5 of the 10 songs, is a compilation that is about "how others see me as opposed to how I see myself", a concept Matt feels anyone can identify with. First single, "Daylight", an upbeat, pop-influenced ditty about a life changing relationship, is not only unbelievably catchy but will leave you wanting more. Since the release of "Mirrors", Matt has gained exposure from publications such as The Arizona Republic and Wrecked For the Ordinary. Matt has also performed for Jerry's Kids at Arizona's Muscular Dystrophy Summer camp in Heber, Arizona. He continues to gain critical acclaim from religious communities in every denomination all over the country. In 2009, Matt won "Pop Single of the Year" at the Phoenix Music Awards and "Pop Artist of the Year" at the Charlotte Music Awards. He was also nominated for "Pop Album of the Year" and "Pop Single of the Year" at the Los Angeles Music Awards and "Pop Song of the Year" at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards for his songs "Daylight" and "Honestly". In addition, $1 from every "Mirrors" album sold will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. His newest single, "You Are Not Alone", a tribute to the late Michael Jackson, is poised to be Matt's most successful recording to date. The song has earned Matt fans in over 52 countries worldwide and it continues to pick up momentum. The song is available for download on his website and other online retailers worldwide.
