Pablo Aura

Pablo Aura Langer has been breathing acting and directing ever since he was a child. Brought up in a family of actors and directors, he started out his creative journey by directing over 10 short films, some of which have premiered in different film festivals in Mexico and Europe. Pablo studied music at the Trinity College of London and majored in Film Directing at the prestigious film school: ECAM in Madrid, Spain. Upon graduating, he entered the industry as a television and commercial director where he has been involved in over 30 episodic TV chapters and dozens of commercials, including one that was awarded the Cannes Silver Lion in 2012. In 2014, he wrote and directed his first feature film, INFLUENCIA, which was awarded the FIDECINE grant by the Mexican Institute of Cinema. The film has been selected by Latin America's top film market Ventana Sur for their special catalogue of movies to represent in world festivals in 2017. INFLUENCIA is set to be released throughout Mexico in 2018. At the premiere of El Cura, la niña y el ciego (The Priest, The Girl, and the Blind), one of Pablo's short films, El Universal (top Mexico newspaper) published: "... the talented young director Pablo Aura Langer ads a refreshing and unique point of view in his short cinema piece.
