Collin Insley is a filmmaker originally from Orange County, California. He studied film at Brooks Institute of Photography, where he earned a BA in Film and Video Production in 2008. While in school, he made three short films, including "King of the Cardboard People" (an Official Selection at the 2008 Ohio Independent Film Festival), "December 21, 2012" (an Official Selection at the 2010 Eat My Shorts Film Festival). More recently, he has made two short films as part of the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Competition, including, "We're Elves," which was nominated for several awards, including Best Director, and won the award for Best Use of Prop. As of 2020 he is living in Boise, Idaho with his wife and children.
