Tiffany Leigh Smith

Tiffany Leigh Smith, born Tiffany Leigh Trower Wright was born and raised in Bradford West Yorkshire. As a child she became an actor and appeared in commercials, notably one for a well known British butter. At the age of 13 she became a model and worked for Grattan Catalog, she also entered a local beauty pageant and won the crown and title of Miss Bradford. She left school at the age of 16 to become a full time model and took all kinds of modeling jobs, appearing in advertisements on everything from night club flyers to clothing store, billboards. She was scouted by The Sun newspaper and had a photo shoot with renowned photographer, Beverly Goodway, however, the final pictures did not make it to Page 3 because Tiffany looked "too young". During her early modeling career she worked as a life model at a local university, where she was exposed to lots of learning materials and it was then that she developed an interest in computers and began her foray into self teaching. In 2001, Tiffany moved from her home; a small village in England, to California, USA where she continued self teaching and taught herself to program video games. It was then that she became a member of the video game development website gamedev.net and soon proved herself worthy of the title of moderator, mentoring beginning game developers, later becoming a member of staff for the company. Shortly after that, Tiffany auditioned for several roles for movies and was well received in Hollywood. Tending more toward the sci-fi and fantasy genres and due to her unusual look, Tiffany has played many mystical and intriguing characters. Tiffany co-starred in the film FX-1, playing Isis, a clairvoyant and powerful witch and also recently starred in a film called Negredo where she plays an archeologist and Queen Nefertiti. She was also part of the original web series Apocalyptic Playground, playing the role of Peri. In 2009 she programmed her first commercial video game for Nintendo. A WiiWare version of the freeware action-adventure video game, Cave Story, which was released in 2004 for PC by Daisuke Amaya and has continued to work in the games industry as a contract video game programmer and reporter for Gamedev.net. Tiffany also continues her work as an actress and has recently taken up digital artwork.
