Erfan Massoumi

Erfan Massoumi was born in Tehran, Iran. The daughter of Hossein Massoumi, a Journalist, and Tallat Montazerie, a teacher, she spent four years in Tehran, Iran, but grew up in a small town near Cologne, Germany. She attended primary school and junior high school in a small town in Germany. At the age of 11, she was transferred to a all girls catholic school in Horrem, a town near cologne. Early on she discovered the love for music and theater. She listened all day long to all kinds of songs and wrote lyrics. She used her sisters and bothers as actors to do a small home theater show for family and friends. She performed in school theater. Her first paid gig was at the age of 18 when she was one of 5 background dancers. Soon she began performing as a background dancer on concerts and in clubs. This led Erfan to audition for a Gospel Group, which she was part of for over 1 year. She was the soprano voice of that group and they performed in concerts, clubs, weddings, corporate parties, ... . Her acting debut came in 4 episode of the German comedy show called "Was guckst Du" (1999). She played the sexy nurse. At the same time she sang backgound for Adem a very well know Turkish singer, she also was the lead girl in his music video. 1 year later she met Sven Krueger, a songwriter and producer and they recorded her 1st Album in Germany, which was part of a compilation cd, that sold 180,000 copies in 2006 in Berlin. Than, she moved to New York and studied Acting at the Stella Adler Acting School. She than landed roles in student films, like the Burning Flame, in Independent Films, like "Dancing with Kendra", "Al Quarem". Small parts in TV shows, like The Love Monkey. Recently she was featured as a "Hot Indian Chick" in the new Jack Black flick "Walk Hard". And she had a lead part in the short film "Fable" as well as a small part in the short film called "Megan's Law". Her recent commercial was for: "Almost anything delivery". She has also written numerous Screenplays.
