Born in Bahia, in 1997 Pedro von Krüger moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he graduated in cinema. He began his professional career as an assistant director and assistant camera. Working with cinematographer André Horta, he discovered the possibility of developing an accurate direction project through a photographic look. It was the beginning of the production company Com Domínio Filmes. Krüger worked alongside the greatest cinematographers in Brazil in films such as "Cazuza: Time Doesn't Stop", "À Deriva", "Uma Professora Muito Maluquinha", "Elite Squad I and II", "Nise - The Heart of Madness", among others. In 2016, already as cinematographer and camera operator, he won the award for Best Cinematography at the CinePE Festival with the feature film "Darn Good". "Pulmão da Arquibancada", in 2012, marks the beginning of his career as a Film Director, participating in the festivals Cine Fest Brasil Montevideo, Braziliam Film Festival of Miami in 2013, 3rd Cinefoot and 11mm - International Football Film Festival in Germany. Then, he made the short films "O Sonho de Ser Camisa 10" and "A Incrível Volta ao Mundo do Tricolor Suburbano", with which he won the best director award at the RECINE festival. In 2015, he directed the documentary "Estrada de Sonhos" that participated in the festivals É Tudo Verdade, Cinema Avvenire Film Festival, em Roma, e Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente, in Mexico. With the documentary "Memória em Verde e Rosa", released in 2017 on the commercial circuit, he received the nomination for the Grand Prize of Brazilian Cinema in the categories "Best Sound" and "Best Soundtrack". His first fiction short film "Alvará" participated in international festivals, among them "Festival Pachamama - Cinema de Fronteira", "TAFFNY - The Americas Film Festival of New York", "NAU - Festival de Cinema e Artes de Expressão Ibérica" and "Farcume: Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de Faro", in Portugal. In 2019, his documentary short film "Agunia" competed at the São Paulo International Short Film Festival for the award for Best Film and opened the Festival Visões Periféricas in Rio de Janeiro. In August 2020, the series "Any Given Daylomg" debuted on Canal Space, a hit on pay TV. The multiplatform project also features a feature film that is running festivals, participating in the Buenos Aires International Film Festival (BUEIFF), Madrid International Film Festival and the 15th Latin American Film Festival in São Paulo. In 2021, it will be at the NYC Film Festival, in addition to its launch on the commercial cinema circuit.
