Evgeni Budinov is a popular Bulgarian actor and politician. He was born on 20th June 1981 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He studied acting at the National Academy for Theater and Film Arts. Evgeni is acting on the stage of The Bulgarian National Theater "Ivan Vazov" company and "Little City Theater Off the Channel", where he has more than 40 roles, including "Marriage" by Gogol, "The glass menagerie" by Tennessee Williams and "Rosencrantz and Guildenstem are dead" by Tom Stoppard. He has leading and supporting roles in the cinema among which are "Hushove" (2008), "Footsteps in the sand" (2010), "Trip to Jerusalem" (2003), "Undercover" (2011-2013), "Rapid Response Corps" (2012), "Rapid Response Corps 2: Nuclear Threat" (2014), Inches from the Ground (2016), and "Heights" (2017). Evgeni has worked as an author and a host in the TV programs "Flight of the Night" (2009), "Before Lunch" (2014-2015), "Marmalade" (2016). He also participates in hit Bulgarian TV series having both lead and supporting roles. From October 13, 2017, Evgeni Budinov is a member of the 44th National Assembly of Bulgaria. He is a member of the Committee on Culture and the Media, as well as the Commission for the Bulgarians abroad. In 2018 he made his directorial debut at the Drama-Puppet Theater in Vratsa with the production "Suburbia" by Eric Bogosian. Evgeni Budinov is married to Mariela Ivankova-Budinova and has one son - Alexander Budinov who was born in 2013.
