Cathal Ó Cuaig is a director, writer and producer from Ireland. In 2007 he produced 'Che', a four part TV documentary series that seeks to assess the importance of Che Guevara's legacy in Latin America today. In 2008 he produced 'At Home in India', a documentary film for Irish broadcaster TG4, following two sisters from Connemara making their first ever visit to India- the land of their father. His directorial debut was the short film 'An Cluiche' (The Game) which premiered at the Dingle International Film Festival in 2012 and won the Irish language Físín Award. He recently directed 'Síle' (2013), a TV drama for TG4 - the story of a teenage girl struggling with adolescence. He wrote and directed the TV drama Grá Mo Chroí (2014) for TG4. It tells the story of Eimear, a cellist who is unable to go on emotionally or musically due to a devastating loss. Most recently he directed "Sisters of Science" (2014), is a four part TV series which explores the stories of four pioneering Irish women who helped shape the world of science.
