Harmen Jalvingh is a (creative) producer of documentaries for DOXY Films (formerly known as KeyDocs). He worked on more then 35 documentaries in the last 20 years, at international, national and regional level. He accompanied and counseled many filmmakers - experienced and starting - through the process of making their film. He worked for different production companies in the late nineties and the Dutch broadcaster VARA. From 2004-2014 he worked as a creative producer for Bonanza Films in Amsterdam and since 2014 he works for DOXY Films (KeyDocs). Recently he worked on films as 'The Mystery of Milking Robots (2017), by Vuk Janic and the much discussed documentary 'JESSE' (2017), by Joey Boink, 'Daans Inheritance' (2016) by Joris Postema, Becoming Zlatan (2015), by Magnus and Fredrik Gertten, an international co-production with the Swedish Auto Images, WG Film and Indyca from Italy, De Mooiste Marathon (2016), by Geertjan Lassche about marathon runner Michel Butter. For Bonanza Films he worked on 'Parts of a Family' (2013), by Diego Gutierrez, awarded with a Golden Calf as best feature documentary, 'FC Rwanda' (2013), by Joris Postema. Harmen worked with Coco Schrijber on 'Bloody Mondays & Strawberry Pies' (2008), also awarded with a Golden Calf. Narrated by John Malkovich. Other films he worked on are 'The Price of Heaven' (2012, nominated for a Prix Europa), by Jack Janssen, 'The Potato Eaters' (2011), by Arno Hagers, 'Daughters of Malakeh', (2011) by Jet Homoet and Sharog Heshmat Manesh and 'Last Words' by Lieshout, Hagers and Van Brummelen, a film about and with Michel Houellebecq. Iggy Pop composed the music for his film, later to be released as the album 'Preliminaires'. Harmen is a jury-member of Shortcutz Amsterdam (a weekly platform for shorts) and is a national info provider co-productions for the European Documentary Network..
