Michelle Vicary is the Executive Vice President of Programming and Network Publicity for Crown Media Family Networks, charged with strategic oversight of all production and original programming for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. In addition to overseeing the production of 78 movies in 2016, she has overseen the formation of an in-house production company, and supervises acquisitions, programming, on-air scheduling, talent relations and executes promotional and publicity strategies. Michelle spearheaded Hallmark's foray into original scripted series for prime time, and will produce 90 movies in 2017 in addition to staking out new daytime programming, attracting new viewers and advertisers to the network. She has expanded the network's footprint with holiday event programming specials as well as the Kitten Bowl as part of CMFN's Pet Project Adoption Initiative. Vicary now produces the esteemed "Hallmark Hall of Fame" franchise and is instrumental in developing programming strategy for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' "Mystery Wheel" movie franchises. In her nearly two decades at Crown Media, Vicary has held ascending positions as manager of programming and promotional scheduling. She conducted long-term movie and series planning and managed all on-air promotions. Vicary has been honored as one of Cablefax's Most Powerful Women in Cable for six consecutive years (2012-2017) and was inducted into Cablefax's Program Hall of Fame (2015) as well as Multichannel News' Wonder Women (Class of 2012). She received a bachelor's degree in cinema arts from California State University, Northridge. Based in Los Angeles, she reports to Crown Media Family Networks President and CEO Bill Abbott.
