The Cake were Jeanette Jacobs, Barbara Morillo and Eleanor Barooshian, a 60s girl group signed to Greene/Stone productions, the same management team that had handled Sonny & Cher, Buffalo Springfield and Iron Butterfly. The Cake formed in 1966, released two records on Decca * The Cake (1967) and A Slice of the Cake (1968) - and split shortly before their second album was released. They appeared on several nationally-syndicated music shows during 1967. Barooshian and Morillo also made appearances in Peter Yarrow and Barry Feinstein's 1968 film, You Are What You Eat.
