Annette Andersen Caton is an Actress/Producer/Writer with substantial experience in licensing and merchandising, branding, story development and all phases of production in the film and television industries. She began her experience with award-winning Documentary Producer Roberta Grossman ("500 Nations") on an AFI Directing Women's Workshop film as both Location Manager and Production Manager. Immediately following, she worked with Oscar-winning actress Faye Dunaway through all phases of production on Ms. Dunaway's first self-Executive Produced film, TNT's "Cold Sassy Tree" (directed by Joan Tewkesbury, also starring Richard Widmark, Frances Fisher, Lee Garlington, Samantha Mathis and Neil Patrick Harris). She continued on with Port Bascom Productions as Ms. Dunaway's Development Associate on the Oscar-nominated film "Don Juan DeMarco" (directed by Jeremy Leven, also starring Marlon Brando and Johnny Depp). Annette then worked on the 20th Century Fox lot with Emmy-award winning Writer/Executive Producer Alan Uger ("Family Ties," "Blazing Saddles") for a season of "True Colors" (starring Cleavon Little, Stephanie Faracy and Nancy Walker) and continued on with Mr. Uger working in television development. She subsequently enjoyed a lengthy career working directly with Matt Groening on the longest-running primetime scripted series, the iconic television show, "The Simpsons," where she served in a variety of roles: Executive Producer's Assistant to Matt Groening, Manager of all "Simpsons" related publishing for Matt Groening Productions, Editorial Contributor to "Simpsons Comics," Development Associate on "Futurama," and Director of New Media for Matt Groening Productions. From 1994 to 2000, Annette also worked closely with Matt Groening as both inker and proofreader on his weekly "Life In Hell" comics. In 2016, Annette Executive Produced the independent film "Day of Days" along with Writer/Director Kim Bass (starring Tom Skerritt, distributed by Broad Green Pictures). She also raised funds for the Oscar-nominated film "Marshall" (produced by Jonathan Sanger and Paula Wagner, directed/produced by Reginald Hudlin, and starring Chadwick Boseman, Josh Gad, Kate Hudson, Sterling K. Brown, Dan Stevens and James Cromwell). In 2016, Annette also began acting and has since completed an intensive two-year Hybrid Meisner program with veteran acting coach Andrew Benne. She has appeared in over a dozen film and television projects including "Kevin Hart's Guide to Black History," and in a recurring role for a CBS-funded pilot in 2017. Annette acquired theatrical representation in March of 2018 and continued her studies with renowned Los Angeles acting coach Joseph Pearlman. Annette continues to work on opportunities to produce film and television and is developing an episodic television series.
