Born Randall James Colmus to country entertainer Johnny Colmus. Raised in Detroit, he spent most of his life in Los Angeles trying to make it as an actor and a screenwriter. In 1980 he formed the band Legacy, which opened for several popular headliners of the eighties. After moving to Las Vegas he changed his name to King Lizzard in 1998 with the recording of The Sin City Symphony.
