Matt grew up on a pig farm in Middleburgh, New York. By eight, he was recording on his boom box and performing in plays for his relatives. At fifteen, Matt landed an internship at WSCM in Cobleskill, New York. After two weeks of making coffee, running errands and board operating, Matt became a "bored" operator, so he decided to turn on the microphone and start talking. Two weeks later he landed his own weekend show. Matt's first full-time break came when he accepted an offer to host nights at WBPM in Kingston, New York. Since then, he's hosted at Salem Music Network in Nashville, Tennessee where he averaged 1 million listeners a week. He's also worked on Westwood One's Real Country format and can be heard nationally on 112 stations. Matt's entertainment background extends to movies, music, and television, and he can be seen and heard ion various platforms worldwide.
