An artist whose influences hark back to the traditions of Absurdism, Tin Pan Alley, Cabaret, Commedia dell' Arte and even Opera, Kai Alexander, the son of parents who worked for Europe's Maharaja Circus, grew up in the countryside of Essex, England. Both his parents being gypsies, he was exposed to a nomadic and isolated life from an early age. Never having any friends Kai began inventing characters in the quiet isolation of his parents prop's trailer. He had his first exposure to theatre at the age of six at King George's Grammar School's winter holiday play as Jesus.
