Leah Rose

Leah Rose is an award winning actress who has appeared in numerous indie films, TV shows, web series, over 20 commercials. You might recognize her from viral videos for FunnyOrDie and BuzzFeed or from when she performed live alongside Jack Black and Kyle Gass (Tenacious D) at their Festival Supreme comedy and music festivals. Recently, she co-hosted the wildly wacky dating game show "What's In My Pocket" for which she contributed as a writer. Leah flexes her comedy and improv muscles with appearances in TV shows like "Sex Sent Me To The ER" and "Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks." As a dramatic actress, her "survivor girl"/ leading lady performance in the sci-fi creature feature "Hell's Labyrinth' earned her a Best Actress award at the ShockerFest International Film Festival. The child of a potter, Leah grew up traveling from art fair to art fair. In tandem with her brother, she'd entice shoppers to buy her mother's beautiful hand-thrown dishes. This "gypsy lifestyle" with her artist mom informed her sensibilities and fueled her pursuit of an unconventional career. Leah began acting in middle school. She later earned a BFA in Theater Arts before a year long Midwestern tour with Prairie Fire Children's Theater. Moving from from small town Wisconsin, Leah started her career in Chicago appearing in plays, musicals and improv shows on multiple stages throughout Chicagoland. Her performances earned wonderful reviews including these by the Chicago Reader, "Playing every facet of her character, from childlike and terrified to impatient and defiant, Leah Rose is appealing throughout." "The production leaves you laughing, thanks in part to Leah Rose's hilarious impersonation of a self-involved supermodel wannabe." Leah is passionate about teaching and performing for kids. She continues to work with 5th graders as a volunteer mentor with Young Storytellers, a non-profit which fosters creative writing for public elementary school students. Leah wants to spark and nurture young creative minds in the hopes that they will feel inspired to express themselves just as she was.
