Antonella Martinelli is originally from Santa Fe, Argentina. She received her training at Canada's National Ballet School and graduated in 2005. While a student at Canada's National Ballet School, Ms. Martinelli was the recipient of the Peter Dwyer scholarship in 2005. Ms. Martinelli's training at Canada's National Ballet School was made possible by the generous support of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation. Ms. Martinelli joined The National Ballet of Canada's RBC Apprentice program in August 2007. She joined the company as a member of the Corps de ballet in 2008. With the National Ballet, Ms. Martinelli has danced in the Nutcracker, Symphony in C, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Glass Pieces, Swan Lake, the Four Seasons, Onegin. She performed in the World premiere of Crystal Pite's Emergence, and in the company's premieres of John Neumeier's The Seagull and Davide's Bombana's Carmen Antonella's talent in dance was recognized not only on stage, but in film as well. She has also appeared in Veronica Tenant's short film, 'Love That Red'; in Kevin Barnes's 'Rose Seller', and in Walk off the Earth's 'Speeches' music video.
