City of birth : Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, USA

Travis McHenry is a Pennsylvania native who studied theatre at Bloomsburg University before spending eight years in the US Navy as an Intelligence Specialist with a focus on Anti-Terrorism. Prior to leaving the military, he began acting again and joined the Screen Actor's Guild after appearing in Body of Lies with Russell Crowe. After leaving the military, Travis studied Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute. He combined this classic training with his professional experience to develop his own unique acting method that allows for a Total Character performance. His early experiments with this new method proved successful when he was named Orange County's Man of the Year in Theater 2009. In 2007, along with director/producer Michael Stogner, Travis founded Mick the Red Films, an independent production company dedicated to creating movies that are both artistic and entertaining. Their debut short film, Life on Mars, won the Audience Favorite award at the 2007 Veneration Film Festival. In addition to his acting career, Travis is a prolific author and playwright. His best-selling book, Into the Abyss, is available on Amazon.com and from specialty booksellers. Four of his screenplays have been turned into motion pictures. Also, Travis has achieved modest recognition from the international press for his work in Cryptozoology, Parapsychology, and New Country Projects.
