Thom Alexander

Thom Alexander, a lifelong touring musician has played guitar for over forty-three years and holds a Master's degree in education. Thom has been in the music and entertainment industry since 1974. He has worked with members of The Beach Boys, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Lone Justice, The Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe and the Fish, and John Lee Hooker, as well as many others. For the past 14 years, Thom has taught guitar and bass in Lawrence, Kansas. He is a working studio musician who produces and composes music and soundtracks. His love of all styles of American music, and his commitment to passing on its history has led to the creation of The Americana Music Academy, Kansas's only American roots music school, in 2001.
