Jean Patchett was among the most successful fashion models of the 1940's to the 1960's. She adorned the cover of Vogue Magazine and was the subject of some of the most iconic images of the era. Born in Maryland in 1926, she came to New York City in 1948 and signed with the Ford Model Agency almost immediately. Photography Irving Penn described Jean as "a young American Goddess of Paris Couture".
