Zachos Samoladas was born in Thessaloniki. He began his career early on in his life as a film enthusiast and a moviegoer at his early teens. In 1983 an S8 camera led to the creation of his first animated short. On 1984 the Greek State television ET1 had a special program for children called "The Storyteller" - and there amateur films were shown in an effort to present new talents. Between 1984 and 1986 eight of his animated shorts were screened from the Greek State television. Zachos Samoladas studied Experimental Animation at Cal Arts and Film Direction at the Eugenia Hadjikou film school in Athens (a private funded film school). In 1988 Samoladas was hired from the Municipal Television of Thessaloniki where he worked as a video editor and later as director. His work at the Municipal Television of Thessaloniki covers a broad aspect of the showbiz industry. On 2011 Zachos Samoladas was promoted to Executive production Manager and from that position he introduced K-Dramas to Greek TV audience and opened a path for international co-productions with South Korean networks. On December 1st, 2019 became Techical Director at the Municipal Company for Information, Communication and Entertainment. Apart from his TV works he is pursuing his animation career creating awards winning animated shorts.
