Howard Sherman is a theatre administrator, arts writer and advocate. He was executive director of the American Theatre Wing, founder of the Tony Awards, from 2003 to 2011, during which time he was executive producer and periodic moderator of ATW's long-running "Working in the Theatre" program, as well as creator and co-host of the audio program "Downstage Center." He was public relations director of Hartford Stage, general manager of Goodspeed Musicals, managing director of Geva Theatre and executive director of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.
