Russell Cannon

With over 30 years of Military and Special Operations related employment, Russ has continued to develop training that keeps up with the current policies, tactics and geographic areas in which forces are deployed. Recently returned from Afghanistan where he was the Atmospherics Manger/LNO to CJSOTF-A. He has traveled to the United Arab Emirates where he served as the Senior Instructor for the Counter-Assault Team training program, VIP Protection, Swat Operations and Sniper Operations for the UAE Royal Guard. Russ also served as the Deputy Director of Operations for the Security Management Center, DynCorp-Iraq in 2004, with oversight primarily in Training, Physical Security, Communications Operations and Quality Assurance evaluations of PSD teams and Site security for DynCorp locations and clients. His 20 year military experience included tours of duty with 2d and 4th Force Reconnaissance Companies, Deep Recon Platoon 3d Reconnaissance Bn, 1st Reconnaissance Company. He served in instructor billets with the Amphibious Reconnaissance School and Special Operations Training Group. Russ lives in Ohio with his wife Patricia Alteslane and owns and operates Mission Support Specialists, Inc., which provides firearms sales, rentals and training support for military, law enforcement and film and television industry
