Jim is the nephew of Patrik Baldauff, a longtime member of the Actors' Studio. His first professional AEA theatre engagement was as the bellhop in Three On A Honeymoon for the Beverly Dinner Theatre in New Orleans in 1974. He came to New York City in 1984 to study with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. Primarily a stage actor - he has received two rave reviews in the NY Times for his work as Earl in Sam Shepard's The Late Henry Moss and as the title character in Richard Vetere's Machiavelli - Jim is also featured in Paul Schneider's film, Pretty Bird, a Sundance Festival selection, starring Billy Crudup and Paul Giamatti. He recently reprised the role of Major Steve Arnold - a role he played 18 years previously - in Ronald Harwood's Taking Sides and played Henry McCoy in Monica Woods' Papermaker at Greene, NY's Chenango River Theatre and can be heard as Harrison on the podcast, Steal The Stars, by Mac Rogers, produced by Gideon Media.
