Jason Gwen

Jason Gwen, born in Vietnam, raised in the Netherlands. He had his Dutch film debut in 2008 in Skin (IJSwater Films) by Hanro Smitsman. In 2013 he got his first leading role in the mosaic film Ataraxia (Serious Film) by Sander Blom. His most recognizable roles were in Nesteltherapie (VPRO Dorst), Villa Achterwerk: From Here to Tokyo (VPRO) and The Mystery Of (RTL Benelux). In 2019 he appeared in a recurring role as a human trafficker in the Dutch/Belgian co-production Grenslanders /Floodland (Eyeworks Belgium /Column Film) by Erik de Bruyn. Currently showing on Amazon Prime. From Season 2 he plays the Dutch rapper Mr. X in Underground Street Boyz (Open Rotterdam), and has been performing in Het Klokhuis (NTR) since the spring of 2021. He is in the treatment phase of his first feature film and streaming series. And will be touring internationally with his electro-hip hop music the upcoming season. He produces all work under his visuals production company TOO MUCH inc. Jason is born close to Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. Left the country at 8 months, and through a few different countries, ended up in the Netherlands at the age of 5. From the age of 12 Jason traveled between Canada and the Netherlands, as his family is broken up in two, due to communism back in the 80's. He likes to travel between Amsterdam, Vancouver, and Arnhem. And with a loft in New York, as his future house prospects.
