Alex Cherney

Since 2012, Alex Cherney has written, directed and produced 5 features, short films and commercials. His latest feature The Have Not is currently on the festival circuit. A recurring theme in Cherney's work is the stress of capitalism, and his genres are drama, comedy and thriller. His favorite film is Harold & Maude (Hal Ashby), and his favorite filmmakers include Stanley Kubrick, Richard Linklater and Alfred Hitchcock. When not making movies, Cherney works as a producer for big brand marketing videos and writes/records music as 'Alex Cherney'. He lives in a self-designed & built tiny house on the Hudson River.
