Anthony L. Fisher is an award-winning filmmaker and journalist based in New York City. His first feature film as Writer/Director, "Sidewalk Traffic," was released by Random Media and The Orchard in 2017 after winning the Audience Award at the Lower East Side Film Festival, Best Microbudget Feature at the Berlin Independent Film Festival, and screening at over 30 international film festivals. As a journalist covering criminal justice and civil liberties he has produced many documentaries for Reason TV, including "The Disposable Life of a 20-Year-Old Confidential Informant," which was awarded a Southern California Journalism Award for Best Investigative Feature by the Los Angeles Press Club. The story was later covered by 60 Minutes and cited on the floor of Congress. He is also a sports/culture columnist for TheWeek.com and has written for Vox, The Daily Beast, Filmmaker Magazine, New York Daily News, Newsweek, and the New York Observer. His work has been cited by the New York Times, CNN, and CBS. He frequently appears as a commentator on FNC's "Red Eye," FBN's "Kennedy," HuffPost Live, and NPR. Fisher has also produced a nightly cable news show, worked on the writing staff of a web series for an Emmy-winning production company, and directed short films that have appeared on Comedy Central and the Sundance Channel.
