The nephew of legendary acting teacher Lee Strasberg, Sasha Krane began his career writing and directing stage plays. The production of his first work, Leftover Hearts garnered strong reviews and was soon followed by A Little Death, a short film that won Best Romantic Drama at the New York International Film Festival. After writing and directing several more award-winning short films, Sasha directed the critically acclaimed British drama Solitary (Electric Entertainment). Described as "Spare, nuanced and painfully real" by award-winning journalist Karen Ocamb, Solitary was the recipient of seventeen festival awards and the opening night film of both the Chelsea Film Festival in New York and the London Independent Film Festival, where it won Best UK Feature. In addition to writing and directing, Sasha is the Lee Strasberg Institute's Artistic Director, where he teaches acting for film and television.
