Alexander English Jr.

Son of NBA Hall of Fame basketball player, coach, and actor Alex English, English Jr began his film making career in 2003 working on set as an Art Department Production PA. English Jr. credits the book Dune, by Frank Herbert, as the reason he chose filmmaking as a career. English Jr. worked as an assistant editor on the short lived BET reality show "The Christies" before making his feature writing and directorial debut with the 2007 period film LUMERA. In 2013, English Jr. wrote, directed, shot and edited the web pilot SOCALI City of Angels. In 2014, English Jr directed the 2nd Unit, Produced, and edited the 9 episode web series A-HolesAnonymous. On the sports media side, English Jr. was Executive Producer and Director of the Nothing But Net Show(A sports/lifestyle Web Pilot). In 2015 English Jr. Shot Fashion Short films and still image Look-books for fashion designers ParkerBlue Cashmere(Parker Blue Collection), FeatheredSoullove jewelry, Harriet Selling Swimwear, NOVE Italy, and DUUYA/Jaga, as well as working with the Annenberg Space for Photography on renowned wildlife photographer Frants Lanting's show LIFE AN EVOLUTION.
