Paul T. Laino

Paul T. Laino is an accomplished musician/composer, originally from Huntington, New York, who has over 10 years of experience composing dynamic scores for film and television projects. During his adolescence, Paul taught himself to play the guitar and synthesizer and first gained notoriety as a songwriter/guitarist for the influential Long Island band 48 in the Basement (1995-2002). After composing highly-inventive original works for short films and public access television productions, he pursued and completed formal training for music at the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in composition, increasing his already formidable aptitude for his craft. The Moog Synthesizer features prominently in several of his works, as he is an avid collector/enthusiast. In addition to his accomplishments as a composer, Paul also has formal education (B.A. in Film Studies in addition to B.Mus. in Composition) and hands-on experience with Film Production, adding an understanding of and unique appreciation for the nuances and needs filmmakers seek after in working their craft. As he pursues both his own creative endeavors and for-hire projects, earning himself a reputation as a talented, reliable composer, Paul T. Laino continues to add to his impressive resume.
