Eric Lee Brandt was born on August 29, 1962, in Yokosuka, Japan and as a military brat he spent his childhood moving around the world, including a stay on Midway island. He is the oldest of three siblings (One Brother and one sister). His father, Bert Brandt, came from a Norwegian family in Seattle, WA, and worked as a Seabee in the US navy until his retirement. His mother, Carol Talbeck, came from a Finnish family in Seattle and is a singer and writer. He made his professional acting debut on the television show "the Richard Simmons show" and his NY stage debut in "Monte Bravo's Burlesque Society" 1982 at age 20 and appeared in several other off-Broadway productions.
