Davi Pretto

Davi Pretto is a film director and screenwriter. He was born on June 16, 1988 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In 2014, his feature debut "Castanha" premiered at 64th Berlinale Forum and won the Best Film New Trends at Rio de Janeiro Intl. Film Festival. In 2017, his second feature "Rifle" premiered at 67th Berlinale Forum. The film won the Grand Prize at Jeonju Intl. Film Festival and three prizes at 49th Brasília Film Festival. In 2018, he was selected for the DAAD Berlin Artists-in-Residence.
