Full-length screenplays include All the Way, set in the 1950s and steeped in jazz (adapting for TV), Wilhelmina's Tale, a fantasy action film for family audiences, and Incarnation Machinations, in which the central character fights against the egg-timer test. I tell stories about family, the fragility and strength of families. I scratched the thespian itch out of college and began to train as an actor, studying Meisner Method with Martin Barter and Gale Hansen, and continued with Michael Beckett, Mary Anthony, Anna Sokolow, Rasa Allen Kazlas at HB Studio, Gene Feist at the Roundabout Theatre Workshop, George Morrison of the New Actors Workshop and Michael Shurtleff ("Audition"). It was by reading about the Group Theatre that I realized, like Clifford Odets, that I was more interested in writing and eventually earned an MFA in Writing for Stage and Screen. In addition to the feature screenplays, I have a fleet of plays of developed stories and characters that look forward to living off the page. Mr. Roys' Bicycle Repair Shop, a short play adapted for the screen, is in post-production. (All scripts copyright protected.) June 2022
