An intuitive, purpose-driven actress, Lily was rescued and inspired by the make-believe world of movies at the age of 7. A first generation Indian American and the first woman in her family to step away from tradition to pursue a creative profession, she is a powerful voice for women's empowerment, and now stands fiercely for social justice and equal representation. Lily started her career by being directed by Christopher Guest in a national commercial for US Census, while still in school! She's also worked with the likes of Wim Wenders, Mark Sikes, Victor Nelli Jr., and Lake Bell. Favorite credits include the lead role in US-Canadian feature 'Killer Punjabi,' horror series 'The Girl in the Woods,' - in which she plays Kal Penn's courageous wife, and the lead role in 'All for Love,' a family comedy that explored the fun and the complex dynamics of interracial relationships. A series of noteworthy stage performances include playing a spirited young and an angry old woman in 'The Alchemy of Imperfection, the 1920s headstrong daughter of a landlord in 'The Proposal,' a ruthless female terrorist in 'Female Terrorist Project,' and playing an undercover cop, "Ms. Orange," in an All-Female adaptation of "Reservoir Dogs." Lily has studied with acclaimed teachers like Amy Lyndon, Margie Haber, Ivana Chubbuck, Natalie Roy, and Tasha Smith. She's fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, Indian & Pakistani Urdu; and loves to dance to the music of the spheres! Lily is also a contributing writer for Backstage.
