Daniel Slottje built his film career in New York City while completing his MFA in writing and directing at Columbia University. With a passion for personal and progressive genre-storytelling, his work as a writer and director has screened at leading short and horror film festivals around the world, including Aspen ShortsFest, Palm Springs International ShortFest, Salem Horror Film Festival, and Screamfest Film Festival - recognized as the 'Sundance of Horror.' Daniel has acted in numerous films as well, most recently playing a co-lead in Stefanie Sparks' feature film, Blueberry - one of only four films chosen by the NYC Mayor's Office to receive finishing fund support in 2020. He can also be seen acting in his graduate thesis film, 'I Miss Your Face and How It Reminds Me of God' to be released in the spring of 2021. Daniel has worked as a script reader for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' Milojo Productions in New York City, and remotely for Dan Halsted's firm Manage-Ment in Los Angeles. These days, Daniel lives in Los Angeles with his rescue dog, Buoy. They are both animal rights advocates and horror aficionados, and one of them also enjoys reading.
