Christopher Michael DiSalvo

Christopher Michael Di Salvo, is unique. Simply meaning having no like or equal. He has an admiration and great respect for the craft of acting, and a love for directing. With his own goals and ideas, as both actor and filmmaker he creates film's that are not of the common. Allowing his films to touch elements of both reality and fantasy, using childlike imagination such as daydreaming, and exploring journeys through nightmares (dreams). The complexity of his work, comes directly from his love of the masterful directors before him. Inspired by the late great Ingmar Bergman, and the likes of modern genius Lars Von Trier, Di Salvo finds ways to artistically express his fears and challenges on death, religion and society's political power. As a fan of boxing, he is a self-taught historian of the sport, with only more knowledge to learn. Looking at the sport, he feels as his duty to continue to study the great writings of plays and films, it is much like the training of a fighter, the discipline it takes to grow as a fighter is the same morals to become a great man. Christopher Di Salvo believe's this to be tied into acting. The more you find yourself through the lens( if directing) or through the emotional delivery of acting, the discipline is the key to unlocking the soul to the audience.
